Who wore armour?
In the Medieval times, almost everyone wore armour. Armour was worn ranging from travellers who were travelling from one city to another and hunters who were hunting for food to knights and soldiers. Depending on the type of armour they wore, it showed their wealth. People who were wearing plate armour and chain mail armour were wealthy and were defending their castles and people who were wearing leather armour weren't wealthy. People wearing leather armour weren't wealthy because it was easy to make and find leather especially if you're a hunter because when you hunt for food and kill an animal like a cattle, you can make leather out of its skin. Blacksmiths and armourers made armour for basically everyone. Armour was made to protect you just in case you get into a fight ,get into a battle or just simply for protection. Armour can be worn by anyone and anything, like a horse to protect it.
Why were armourers significant?
Armourers were significant because they made armour for people. The people made the armourers significant because they gave them armour which also gave them protection from attacks. The armourers were hired by the kings to make armour for their empire. The armourers were paid lots as it took time and they needed ideas on what type of armour they had to make, especially if they wanted to have a different armour from the rest. This was because if you had different armour from your enemy it would take longer for them to attack because they had to know where the weak spots were although they could still pierce your armour if they had a weapon like the rapier.
